Make Your Calling Count: Nurse Practitioner Opportunities Across Missouri
Centurion Health is the proud provider of healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Retention Bonuses up to $7,500 | Multiple Locations
We’re hiring in multiple correctional facilities statewide with locations in Bonne Terre, Charleston, Farmington, Fulton, Jefferson City, Mineral Point, Moberly, St. Joseph and Tipton
You didn’t become a Nurse Practitioner just to treat symptoms—you chose this path to make a difference. At Centurion Health, we believe in that purpose. We offer Nurse Practitioners the opportunity to deliver compassionate, comprehensive care to a population that needs it most.
Remember the “why” you chose to be a Nurse Practitioner:
To make a deeper impact In correctional facilities, you're often the primary provider for individuals who’ve had limited access to care. Your decisions can be life-changing, and your presence may be the first compassionate healthcare interaction someone has ever experienced.
To bridge gaps in care Incarcerated populations face significant health disparities—mental illness, chronic conditions, substance use disorders. As an NP, you help close those gaps by delivering consistent, quality care in a system that desperately needs it.
To build lasting relationships Despite the transient nature of incarceration, many patients return for follow-ups, chronic care, or mental health support. You become a trusted figure in a place where trust is scarce, and that continuity can be transformative.
To combine science and compassion Correctional healthcare demands clinical skill, but also deep empathy. You're treating the whole person—not just their diagnosis—but their trauma, their history, and their humanity. That blend of head and heart is your superpower.
To grow professionally Working in corrections sharpens your clinical judgment, autonomy, and adaptability. You often work independently, manage complex cases, and navigate ethical challenges—skills that elevate your practice far beyond the walls.
In Correctional Healthcare you’re not just treating patients, you’re restoring dignity, offering healing, and being a light in a system that often feels dark. That’s purpose with a pulse.
Requirements:
- Active Missouri Nurse Practitioner license
