Company Overview
Family HealthCare Network is a private, non-profit community-based organization established in 1976. The organization is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and has developed a comprehensive primary health care delivery system with federally qualified health center sites located in Porterville, Visalia, Ivanhoe, Woodlake, Springville, Three Rivers, Goshen, Hanford, Cutler–Orosi, Farmersville, Terra Bella, Tulare and Traver. We also operate the Ventanilla de Salud Resource Center located in the Fresno Mexican Consulate and a Community Resource Building in the community of Porterville.
We have grown from a small renovated gas station that was used as an outpatient health center in Porterville with the primary mission of serving the underserved farmworking community to a multi-site primary health care network serving over 188,000 patients from Tulare and Kings Counties. We are one of the largest providers of care in the country for underserved populations and stand as a model demonstrating value and effectiveness in reducing health disparities and improving the health status in communities in need.
Services are provided by a care team of highly qualified professionals working together in multi-disciplinary teams, including board certified physicians, certified nurse midwives, certified physician assistants, nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers and health educators, support staff and administrative staff. The organization utilizes various quality assurance processes and tools and was recognized particularly by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of HealthCare Organizations and the National Association for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for our performance improvement programs.
For more than 39 years, Family HealthCare Network has advanced the development of community-based primary health care delivery systems to address the health care needs of underserved and vulnerable populations.
